The New Frontiers - 7.33 Game Patch for Dota 2 is now live

It is a tradition for Dota 2 to update every now and then to balance the game and make it more exciting not just with casual players but for Pro's as well. New strategies and combination of heroes arise in pubs and professional scene.

Today Valve's Dota 2 has release yet again another mind boggling and weeks of back to the board reading of updates.

Welcome the Gameplay Update of 7.33, The New Frontiers

Starting of the update is a bigger, and more resources map, with 40% more terrain, there’s plenty of room to reap new resources and discover new strategies. Both main jungles have also been fully reconfigured, shaking up vision placement, juke routes, farming and more.

New terrain designs are added on the map, but what more exciting is the 12 new Creep Camps added, so this means more time to jungle and farm for the times? We'll we will be seeing more Anti-Mage position 1 maybe with 6 slotted items in 15minutes?

New 12 Creep Camps

Defender's Gate

Lotus Pool

New Outposts

Shield Runes

Twin Gates

Wisdom Rune

All new cosmetics on the map are not just cosmetics, they all serve their own purpose and additional gameplay for each match.

Roshan also got updates on his whereabout, though he is not NPA (no permanent address) but he sold his River pit and got 2 new home where he buff up his game adding more muscles on his biceps and triceps and probably got additional 2 abs from 6. "Roshan also no longer drops Aghanim's Shards, and now drops Cheese on his second death instead of third. His third death drops a Refresher Shard or a Scepter, depending on whether he’s in North Pit or South Pit."

Dota 2 has a lot of heroes that we cannot determine where they came from and some have attributes that is not appropriate to them -talk about the dumb two headed Ogre Magi but an INT type hero. The new patch update introduces the fourth kind of hero aside from STR, INT and AGI; the Universal Heroes. They were said to be balanced by Dota 2 engineers, but this is Dota 2 and we encounter IMBA heroes all trough out the century, right?

These Universal Heroes are not new heroes by the way, they are re-classified. A new main stat group composed of existing heroes that now gain 0.6 damage from each stat, of any attribute. Here are the list of Universal Heroes:
  • Abaddon
  • Bane
  • Batrider
  • Beastmaster
  • Brewmaster
  • Broodmother
  • Chen
  • Clockwerk
  • Dark Seer
  • Dark Willow
  • Dazzle
  • Enigma
  • Io
  • Lone Druid
  • Lycan
  • Marci
  • Magnus
  • Mirana
  • Nyx Assassin
  • Pangolier
  • Phoenix
  • Sand King
  • Snapfire
  • Techies
  • Timbersaw
  • Vengeful Spirit
  • Venomancer
  • Visage
  • Void Spirit
  • Windranger
  • Winter Wyvern
Speaking of balancing heroes, what is an update if you'll not change the imbalance heroes right? Every update of Dota 2 requires balancing of heroes, heroes that even Valve didn't realize are not balanced. Almost all heroes are updated but some has been highlighted for that changes. Namely the following, so if you are using these heroes below, might as well head on the update link to read more about their changes.
  • Muerta
  • Clinkz
  • Arc Warden
  • Ogre Magi
  • Medusa
  • Alchemist

Since the introduction of neutral items in Dota 2, a lot has been changed and we know the Developers of Valve, they will twist your mind every game memorizing the recipe of items and then change it on the next update.

New Items and Neutral Items has been added, and some has been removed or reworked, but this one item that was removed made me cry as a support, position 4 or 5.

Here are the New Items added on the game.

Here on the other hand are the new Neutral Items added on the game

Additional user interface has been added on the game as well especially health bars, shields casted to heroes such as magical, physical and aphotic.

A lot of players if not all always experience playing with cancer players after winning 2-3 matches ruining our record and even worst start a red days on our precious MMRs. With the new update, it has been said that Dota 2 has been improved on matchmaking and added an "Immortal Matchmaking" allowing matches in the Immortal ranks won’t use pre-made teams anymore. Instead, two captains will get to draft the other eight players onto each team, making your team more impactful than if you’d just relied on MMR to assign lineups. So if your match sucks now, you’ve got no one to blame but yourselves, Immortals.

Hope this is the start of me ranking higher than Crusader.

There are a lot of updates and a hand full of reading for this new patch but that makes Dota 2 the Number 1 esports game, the fact that it changes from time to time making Pro players and even casual players thrive to improve their games. This also attracts new players and make old players come back. This also give way to new breed of champions on each tournament and that what make a Good Game last longer.
