REVIEW: ASUS TUF GAMING F16 vs A16

This review will mainly focus on F16, but I will show the A16 specs and performance as to compare which is better. You may check my review about A16 on the link provided below.

BRIEF SPECIFICATIONS:

There is no significant difference on the packaging, design and material composition. Below tables show their common, difference, and performance.

The TUF Gaming A16 measures 355W x 252D x 28H mm, the unit weighs 2.03kg (4.47 lbs) and the adapter with cord is 0.72kgs, total of 2.75kg, feels like you are holding two (2) typical encyclopedias.

*Thunderbolt 4 offers several key advantages, primarily its high bandwidth (40 Gbps), versatile connectivity, and ability to power devices simultaneously. This allows for faster data transfer, efficient video output, and the ability to daisy-chain multiple Thunderbolt devices.

It took 1.7 hours to full charge the F16, roughly 1 minute to charge 1% of the battery.

BENCHMARK & OTHER TEST

Let’s look into the comparison of some benchmarks.

Below is the new benchmark reference we added for this review.

Using the HWMonitor application, below are the temperatures of CPU and GPU when in idle mode and at maximum usage.

GAMES

In this section, I will show some of the tests I made using TUF Gaming F16 on popular games.

All games were set to high, and results are better.

The UFO test below proves that this model refresh rate is 144Hz.

PRICE

The unit price for F16 is Php79,995.00 but I see some stores selling it between 74-77k.

CONCLUSION

Since the F16 graphics card is 4050 compared to the A16 at 4070 that we reviewed before, the results above are expected. With a little difference (lower), nothing to complain since we are still satisfied playing the games. You can save up to 33% on the value and get almost the same experience!

These are the scores we gave to the TUF Gaming F16 laptop.
  • 9/10 for the design
  • 8.5/10 for the performance
  • 7.5/10 for the price

No difference from A16 as they give equivalent performance on the value.

Stay tuned for more reviews. 😜
